Now that weed has been decriminalized in some places, Dana Larsen is hoping to destigmatize psilocybin mushrooms by creating the Mushroom Dispensary, a mail order business through which people with conditions that can be treated with mushroom microdoses can get them. Larsen said he also wants to eventually open a venue where people can come and have guided psychedelic mushroom trips.

But for now, he’s just trying to get the word out. “People need to be able to go buy these products from somewhere they trust,” he said. “If we can show that there’s an alternative to using these illegal substances they should be able to trust us.”
To do that, he and his staff are using social media to promote the business and explain how mushrooms work. They’re also working on a website and a YouTube channel. It’s not clear whether he will be successful. But if it works, his idea could be one of many to take advantage of legalization. He also hopes it encourages other people to start start growing, c or brewing their own psilocybin mushrooms.
